YOUR BABY is 18 WEEKS OLD
• Most babies can now distinguish between similar colors, like red and orange.
• They like to straighten their legs when they're held upright - one exciting step on the long road to walking. Next month, he’ll “dance” his legs off when he’s held up.
• Babies this age may start to display emotions such as joy, anger, fear and disgust. They also love to laugh and entertain you!
• A bigger, stronger baby is also likely to be a wigglier one at diaper-changing time. Be sure to keep one hand on your baby at all times during changes.
Carter went to the pediatrician this last week. He weighs 17 pounds and is 25.5 inches long now! The dr said we can start him on gerber baby foods, but only stage one foods right now. we got excited so dan and i went out that night and bought 4 different foods to start him out on; peaches, apples, carrots, and greenbeans! 3 days ago i gave it a whirl at peaches and he liked it alot actually! I waited a day to give it to him again and he is fine, no allergic reactions to it! he does well with the spoon in his mouth too. so now he is eatting formula, rice ceereal, and stage one foods! woohoo! what a big boy he is. he is also wanting to stand alot now. still he s not crawling but he has turned over when on his front, but not when he is layed down on his back! he is grabbing everything you put in fron of him now, which is cool and he sits up with support now! What a good boy he is. Mommy and daddy are proud of him! Above are some pics from fathers day.
